Black rear step pad, is it what the SRT's come with?

2011-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Gloss Black Step Pad Surround - Mopar # 68196260AA

Too much chrome on the back of the jeep and when I looked at photos of the new srts it appears they have a black step pad in the rear. Is the one in the link I posted the same one??

Re: Black rear step pad, is it what the SRT's come with?

When I replaced the chrome step pad surround on my '12, I paid about $25 for the black one through an online mopar site. Sorry, don't have the part number anymore, but I'd look around. Not sure if you want the "gloss" black.

You may be right, that looks like the step pad of the laredo right?

Found a photo of what the gloss looks like, may not look right as I don't have the gloss under my bumper like this car does.

Yes- believe mine is the one for a Laredo. Matches perfectly on my rig.

Did you have to remove the bumper to install it?

Is it possible to change the step pad without bumper removal?

Re: Black rear step pad, is it what the SRT's come with?

its not very hard.....just use trim sticks to pull up the front of the tectured pad...NOT the surround. the pads are actually 2 pieces. the surround and the center tectured pad. Pry up the front ONLY of the tectured pad so you can see the tabs of the surround. there are two tabs on each end that need released to pull the surround off. I suggest taping off your painted bumper first with like painters tape. its not too bad...more tedious.
