Re: Black wood steering wheel

Is the wood more black then the other wheel you had with the white stitching?

Re: Black wood steering wheel

Yes it is! It's the correct wheel like on the Summit 👍🏼
FYI you need the correct harness, that part number you supplied from just for jeeps is the correct

This is how the Altitude and High Altitude should have come from the factory 👍🏼

So you did end up having to buy the new summit harness? Or you used your HA harness? Also, we are talking about the harness inside the wheel correct?

That's debatable, they went with all leather to go with the sportier theme of the High Altitude...just like how the SRT does not have a wood wheel. However, with that said the car does still have gloss black trim so that black wheel does match nicely!! I do like the wood wheels, but I feel the High Altitude would have been perfect for the SRT wheel. Infact there was a mint 2016 takeoff SRT wheel that sold on ebay for only $160 bucks!!! I actually thought about getting it but changed my mind.

If so its not a bad wheel, but except for the perforated leather on the side and the different lower trim its pretty much the same thing. I think the SRT wheel is pretty bad ass.

While I agree with you.. The HA is not an SRT, it's like a cross between that and a Overland/Summit. So give it a sporty wheel but not completely so like the SRT.. That's how I arrived at the R/T wheel anyways... I don't like that they basically put a Laredo wheel in the HA but I'm picky.

So yeah, I guess they should have just put perforations on the wheel so it doesn't look like a Laredo. I mean the R/T gets its own...

YES You need the Summit wiring harness that goes inside the wheel for the heat to work properly

The Wood/leather wheel makes driving 100% better, and it looks awesome in the Altitude

Re: Black wood steering wheel

Just ordered mine finally. Hopefully the dealer can do the swap without messing it up. I'm not sure they remove the steering wheel buttons and trim very often
