Blacking out my 2011 Laredo X question!

I bought my X with the idea I was going to black it out. Before the Altitude came out I was planning on plasti dipping several parts. I plasti dipped my rims and they look awesome! Now I'm planning on purchasing the Altitude front grill and tailgate handle. One problem what is the difference between black and brilliant black? My Laredo is black. Any help???

Re: Blacking out my 2011 Laredo X question!

Brilliant black is only for brilliant black, it would not look good on a regular black. I would get the rims powdercoated. I did mine semiglossy and couldn't be happier. I just ordered black lug nuts and the center caps (already have) from the Altitude. They do fit the 17s already teste fitted them. I would assume they fit the 18s as well.

Good luck

Powdercoated. Here is the picture you requested with the Altitude center caps and black lug nuts. Truck is very dirty though...

Thanks! If you don't mind how much did you pay to have then powdercoated? Or if you did it yourself how much do you think it should cost? I did the plastidip to try out the look of black rims. It was a pain and would like something more perminant.

Re: Blacking out my 2011 Laredo X question!

I didn't know they offered 2 options in black in 2011. Here's my 11 in BB. My headlights and taik lights are oainted and show metallic in the sunlight. I'd scuff and shoot what you have vs oaying big money for oem parts from an Altitude.
