Re: Brightest replacement fog light bulb

Anyone try or see reviews of either of these?
Diode Dynamics XML2
or
Philips H11 X-treme Ultinon LED Fog Bulbs

I have not been able to find many user reviews of either one. Just picked up a summit last week and want something much brighter.

Re: Brightest replacement fog light bulb

For the life of me, I can't find the thread where someone posted a Halogen replacement for the PSX24w that is a closer color to the HID's. I should have saved it.
Anyway, does anyone know what I'm talking about? It is not a LED. From what I have heard the LED light pattern sucks in the stock fog light housing.

So $47 for the pair and they are a direct easy replacement and match the color of the xenon headlights for my 2014 Summit? Do I get the 5000k color to match since the 6000k looks blue or which?

Anything else come out that is better with more light output since the earlier posts? Wish they'd come out with a halogen light that more closely matched the right color, I don't want to sacrifice function for form.

Anything I'm missing like a delay harness or warning codes or different switches or is it really that easy? Now is there a way to replace the color of the yellow DRLs as well without messing with wiring relays and conversion kits?

Re: Brightest replacement fog light bulb

I chose the 5K color temp for both my fogs and my DRLs...and yes, the DRLs were plug and play lamp replacements, too. I did the DRLs first with a pair of CREE LED lamps. (from another source...I didn't know about XenonDepot at that point...and I have had to replace one due to failure, for free fortunately) The fogs (different 'bulb' number from the DRLs on my MY12) were from XenonDepot and are very nice. Aside from the pain-in-the-you-know-what access to the back of the lamps, they are also plug and play replacements.

Do they have the same brightness as the old halogens? I don't know. But they do give some close and low "fill" lighting which overall works for me. Don't forget that our JGC headlamps are pretty bright already...I'm constantly getting "flashed".
