Ok thanks. I'll give it a try. If it doesn't work I can always plastidip the mirror covers.

Well DCJ,

I gave the CF film a go on the weekend and unfortunately it turned out to be a massive FAIL!

Now I have even more admiration for that job you did on yours seeing how frustrating it can be.

Again, we'll done.

Clarkey.

Re: Carbon fiber vinyl wrap mirror covers and fog bezels

Thanks, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. If anyone in or near Denver wants to vinyl wrap their mirrors we could video tape it. It wouldn't be very expensive, maybe $50-$60

Re: Carbon fiber vinyl wrap mirror covers and fog bezels

I know this is an old thread but this is the newest way to wrap mirrors. The videos are produced by 3M.

I ordered some vinyl and I am going to take the caps off to make it a little easier. I will try to post some pics when I take care of this next weekend.

Wow a lot has happened since I first posted this. I currently have real carbon fiber ones but the vendor discontinued them.

Great find, they make it look easy... post pictures when you are done.

It may sound goofy, but I actually prefer the 3M CF film over the factory pieces that come on the SRT version. If it's done right, it looks phenomenal.

My interior trim is CF film and I get compliments on it all the time. People love carbon fiber whether its real or not.

Just remember, if you CF wrap the mirrors... make sure you remove the plastidip and alcohol clean or claybar the chrome finish on the mirror.
