Re: Change chrome on front grill

Perhaps the original question was for this part and I misunderstood. I was asking about the part labeled #21 in this diagram.

Here is another look, ignore the red circles. I'm talking about the chrome below the adaptive cruise control sensor.

Thanks

I have that chrome piece... I'm going to be removing it at some point and wrapping it in vinyl.

The vinyl work on your car has looked flawless. Maybe I should get over my fear and try to do myself. Any pointers of YouTube videos you would direct to someone who has never tried this? I'd also like to do my mirror covers. Is paint matched vinyl available?

Thanks

If you want to do it yourself I would suggest trying it on something small so that you can get a feel for it. How to work it and stretch it. Thats really how I did it. I really am not trying to pay somebody hundreds of dollars for putting vinyl on my jeep because it's not even permanent. I like doing stuff myself so that helps. Plus I have a good eye for detail and would not be happy if they didnt do it perfect lol

I tried looking for some videos on how to install them but different people will tell you different things.

People say to use a blow dryer or heat gun to stretch it better and that does work but you can also do it without it. It's just a matter of preference.

The good thing about vinyl is that it's not real expensive. Unless you were doing the whole car lol

They dont sell paint matched vinyl.
