Can you or Do you have to remove the chrome window trim to put 3M on it properly? If so, I am having trouble finding a thread on how to do it. Thanks.

Re: chrome drip rail window trim removal

I think I've seen one person actually remove the trim to do it, but most have professionals wrap it while it's still on the vehicle. That's what I'll be doing too, eventually.

Re: chrome drip rail window trim removal

Would any vinyl decal place be able to do this? I have one in my town and I want it done right. I'm looking into buying a 2014 or 2015 WK2 Limited in Black Forest Green.

I got a quote from a local vinyl graphics place, mainly because it's the only place that has enough experience with it and wrapping entire cars. Obviously ask them first to see if it's even an option.

$370 for all the chrome trim, including the roof rails, not including the emblems. And that's with me removing the grill bezels on my own and delivering to them to be wrapped with everything else staying on the car. It would cost more based on time to trim carefully, if I left them on the Jeep.

Looks good. I'm torn between going with matte or gloss black for mine.

Re: chrome drip rail window trim removal

Would the 3M vinyl wrap last through the Canadian winters ?

Or does anyone know how to remove them completely? I'm also considering bleaching out the chrome down to the plastic and painting over it...
