Re: Chrome Power Window Surrounds

By going to the ebay sellers direct website I found them a bit cheaper $39.95 + $10 shipping. I find this is often the case with Amazon and ebay sellers. Ordered them just now & saved $5.

Re: Chrome Power Window Surrounds

After reading this I looked at my stock doors and the interior and it just looks like Jeep forgot to put chrome around the switches. The door pulls, dash, shifter and suspension trim are all chrome. This just finishes it off perfectly.
The chrome switch covers come with a little tube of primer for the plastic. Don’t use it! I used it and it discolors the black stock trim so you will not be able to remove these pieces if you don’t like them. They will stick perfectly if you just clean the trim with rubbing alcohol first.

Re: Chrome Power Window Surrounds

The new pieces kind of “rock” on the stock trim if you do not place the additional thickness of 3M double sided tape. I ended up purchasing 3M molding tape in ˝” width and cut it lengthwise into three pieces each so it was narrow enough. I also added a ˝” x ˝” piece behind the large pieces that tuck under the switches to help hold them in place.

Thanks to TarponBeach for the great idea.
With all four doors done, it looks like it should have from the factory.

Re: Chrome Power Window Surrounds

Wow I noticed the the same thing with the w164 switch covers on www.formymercedes.com a few months back because the switches always looked like they needed some sort of pop to them.

But I backed off when I noticed the passenger side switch didn't look like it would work.

I just ordered some chrome switch bezels off ebay listed for the journey 300 and grand cherokee.

Wish I saw this sooner.

I just ordered those as well. Planning on using the larger surround for the passenger side. Good find

Any one know, if these will fit right hand drive?

And 2012 GC?
