Chrome strips on trunk floor...whose bright idea was THAT??

Seriously.

One of my side jobs is pro audio. I had a gig last night where I'm mainly the board op - the band has their own gear, I supply only a 24x8 channel 150' snake on a reel, and a 6-space rack with wireless monitor headsets. Two pieces, but neither is featherlight.

Those damn chrome strips had them sliding all OVER the trunk. Grrrrr.

The strips bolt on from underneath - anyone know if they're structural to the floor? Or can they just...be removed? Either that, or I'm just gonna take them to my buddy at the local Line-X shop and have him spray them so they're grippy.

Anyone else made a change to them? Other than a trunk mat, obviously...

Just put a rubber mat down, problem solved.

I use the Mopar cargo mat. Works great.
