The wiring harness from TRS (and others i've seen) only utilize one stock connecter. The stock connector from the other side isn't used at all. The MOPAR specific relay harness (from what I was told) tells the CPU that both lights are connected and that there is no "headlamp out" issue.

good luck.
Thanks for the reply! Was it the hids that was flickering or the drl's/fog?

Re: chrysler 300 fogs possible fit?

Can you just add an HID kit to these (or even the stock fog lights) and be done with it? I would figure al the proper wiring and relays would be included in a good HID kit...

Re: chrysler 300 fogs possible fit?

Headlamp HID's. I did a full TRS RX projector retrofit for the headlamps. TRS said that some people are not getting the flickering issue, but most chryslers / dodge / jeeps are. Therefore the mopar specific harness. TRS are good people, great customer service.

Re: chrysler 300 fogs possible fit?

Hey Vince Scott had figured out that you can just use the CAN BUS corrector harnesses instead of that convoluted relay hareness with an extra set of resistors.

The WK2 wiring already had HIDs light engineered into the system so you can just use those to connect the ballast.

Tthat is way they are part of my plug an play harnesses for the OEM bixenon, It makes the intall less complicated

Can we see some close ups of your projector retrofit.

Re: chrysler 300 fogs possible fit?

Thanks for the info Jeep_Addicted. I'll start a thread for the Retrofit. Don't have a step by step write up. A few pics will have to do.

Retrofit looks great and thanks for helping keep this on topic.

Hopefully spyder finds a way to resolve the flickering and can give us an update this weekend.

Re: chrysler 300 fogs possible fit?

Comments/observations:
#1 - damn! That's a lot cheaper than my PIAA LED fog light modification.

But...
#2 - I have no flickering/on-off issues, because the PIAA's only pull 4 watts per light.

#3 - I'm surprised the halogen bulb on those OEM plastic housings doesn't melt... I seem to recall that everyone who tried to put halogen bulbs in our OEM housings ended up melting them.

#4 - Subaru Outbacks use an H11 fog light with a glas-fiber housing and glass lens, and the mounting looks very similar, just haven't had a chance to check it out. That was going to be my next path if the PIAA LED fogs don't last.
