Clean off sap

My rig was sitting under some pine trees for a while (few weeks) and ended up getting covered in sap. Anyone of any tricks or good products for cleaning off the sap?

Isopropyl Alcohol works wonders.

That is true. I always have a generic Purel pump in a cup holder and that works in an emergency.

I used it on my windshield earlier today... Would have to agree, it works great. I was hesitant to use it on painted surfaces, does it ruin the finish any?

To my knowledge no, but you should give it a proper wax afterwards.

Re: Clean off sap

Gasoline will take it right off and won't harm finish.

This products works great and you do not have to worry about your rag spontaneously combusting as you do with the organics for tar and bug removal that come in a metal can.

Unless you smoke while doing so.
Kerosene or Mineral Spirits a tad safer... but all three are overkill compared to a parts store bug+sap remover.
