Cołor brake calipers

Need some opinion on what color I should paint my brake calipers on a black on black jeep ?

I was thinking white or red. Something that will pop in the day and night ?

It's not an Audi.

Just paint them black if they're stock. No need to bring attention to your stock calipers.

Re: Cołor brake calipers

Pic(s) of your Jeep would help...based on your description in your signature I would prolly agree that if they are stock and your ride is blacked out, I wouldn't want to draw attention to them unless you have another color for your look to integrate in say the engine bay or shocks or something like that...

Re: Cołor brake calipers

I'm with mofsteel. Painting calipers of a brake setup that has no business being shown off IMO is tacky looking. The only Jeep that has a good enough brake system that deserves to be shown off is the SRT and they already come red. If you feel you must paint them, then my vote goes to black, and that's just to keep it clean looking and nothing more. The factory brakes on all non-SRT Grand Cherokees are not pretty to look at regardless of color.

Re: Cołor brake calipers

If your jeep is Black... LIME GREEN!!! and don't forget you can P-L-A-S-T-I D-I-P IT!!!!!!

It's your Jeep man paint whatever color you'd would like and have fun doing it. Tackyness is on the eye of the beholder.

Re: Cołor brake calipers

Plastidip would burn off the calipers.

My vote is black. When I put new wheels on my Z I went black on stock calipers and it was just perfect

They were so tiny after I put 20s on that I'm so glad I didn't paint them any other color

It has been done and it does not burn off or melt, I personally would not use PlastiDip on the calipers, I was joking and trying to get a rise out of MOFSTEEL , I know how he loves PD

Re: Cołor brake calipers

I would think puce would be the perfect color for someone who wants to paint calipers in this day and age.

However, a flat cast iron look very dark gray or black might not be too bad.

Re: Cołor brake calipers

Think about a nice gray as a transition from the shiny/blingy discs and the black/black/black. Black/Gray carbon fiber?
