Converting a 2014 limited to look like the 2014 srt

I just bought all the body panels and lights etc to convert my 2014 wk2 to look like a wk2 srt and was curious if anyone else has done this yet?

My only concern is how to wire up the daytime running lights (LEDs) on the new srt front bumper up with my existing wiring harness
I have the overland/srt hid lights already but I'm curious if anyone has done this as the srt LEDs will need to be wired up but I'm not sure how?

Re: Converting a 2014 limited to the 2014 srt body kit

Damn, you just dropped some serious $$$.
I can only imagine complete body kit, headlights/tailights, SRT wheels/tires has to be a minimum $6000+. That's gonna be a complete transformation thought that's for sure!! Keep a build thread with updated pics! As far as DRL wiring I don't have info as far as how it's connected from the factory, but if that's too difficult you could always get creative and make your own harness with a switch inside so you can control them independently. Or still have a switch but have them go on with ignition, which still can be turned off if desired via the switch.

Wheels+Brembos+body kit+supercharger

I'm guessing your total will be 10-12k in mods.

I'd say you could tap straight into the power wire for the headlight DRL's, but I'm sure the Canbus stuff will not like that. Check with CLStech in the SRT forum, he can probably point you in the right direction.

Re: Converting a 2014 limited to the 2014 srt body kit

Thanks guys....I appreciate the help

Yeah...I should have just bought the Damn SRT from the start...now i'm on a mission to just make mine look like one.

I have the Brembos already/SRT Replica Wheels /RM Springs/SRT Sway Bars/End links/and Supercharger (RIPP)

now I just want it to look like an SRT on the outside...even though it will never be one..oh well

I have to say that buying the body panels is VERY expensive overall but the worst part is buying the DRL lights and projectors up front as those are over 800$ alone...by the time these parts are painted and Installed it'll be over $5,000 alone for just the SRT body kit.

Definitely not the best way to go but oh well...

I'll ping CLS tech and see what he says...I have the HID's so I may be able to tap into the existing DRL but I'm not sure

Not sure how much the red button cost but that carbon piece that goes around the red start button sells for 435$
That's just crazy

Yikes! Have you considered taking it off and wrapping the trim yourself? My dad did his in his F350, did carbon fiber. It looks really good

Re: Converting a 2014 limited to the 2014 srt body kit

I bought a carbon fiber overlay kit for the interior which is 46pcs but it doesn't include the door and dash pieces that the srt comes with so I'm searching salvage yards trying to find them instead of having to buy them new

I'm guessing you could spend an easy 1500$ or more just buying those oem carbon parts

I remember this guy doing custom carbon fiber pieces when I had my Audi.
oCarbon - carbon fiber products

You can see how much having your OEM pieces wrapped would cost you?
