Can you change the lens or lens and body if everything else works on the headlight? Can you buy just the lens / body and swap all the globes and modules across? I dont want to spend $1k for a light that is otherwise perfect.

99% positive you can, it just might be a PITA. I've read about people heating the headlamp in the oven to soften the glue, then removing the outer lens that way. (They are doing it to most likely paint the internals, but the same principal would work for you). Once removed, swap the lens then seal with some sort of waterproof sealant.

Rather than paying 1k, just look for a headlamp on ebay that has a broken housing or tabs, but the lens in good shape, so it should be cheaper. Based on your price estimate, I'm assuming.you have the xenon lights, so something like this:

If you have the regular halogens, it would be cheaper.

(Note: I just found an auction to represent what I was talking about, I didn't look into the condition of the headlamp.)

With the number of these vehicles that have been sold, the salvage yards must have some available. They won't be cheap, but if you can't get a lens it's an option.
