Crystal's build thread

Well I've been wanting to get started with this for a year+ now, and finally have the reason to start doing some mods. Got into a wreck yesterday, guy failed to yield and made a left turn in front of me and hit him pretty much head on. Thankfully had time to slam brakes, damage should have been much worse as i was going around 45; crappy roads in the rain didn't let me stop. But anyways, repairs will start Friday, first going to get the body shop to pop in the black honeycomb as one of the inserts was cracked and one grill ring is damaged. After that going to go ahead and get my tails redone, I had smoked them with laminx a few months back, re done them and they look worse the second time around so going to take it to a shop and get them done professionally in the next month.

To come:
-Billstein 5100s in front, 1.75" ride height
-33s mounted on stock rims
-1.25" spacers
-black window trim

Really want to try and figure a way to get some type of colorshift (oracle makes sets like this) in my fogs to switch between yellow blue or white when driving and the occasional random color like green or purple.

Re: Crystal's build thread

Got her back from shop today, she's looking great - of course they didn't put the filler grille inserts in below fog lights though. Will post pics in morning of some small stuff - had body shop install the black honeycomb since they replaced the bumper, already had my tails wrapped in Lamin-x, interior all weather mats.. Hopefully I'll have some more coming soon

I'll bite, you do realize that colored or color shifting bulbs, especially red and blue, is only for off-road use, otherwise known as illegal on road.
Let's go

Re: Crystal's build thread

I've heard mixed things about it here in Georgia-from what I can tell they just can't be red or blue to resemble emergency lights. I think even the solid white would look pretty sweet but also debating just doing eagle eyes and doing my fogs a color

Re: Crystal's build thread

First done was a while ago - all weather mats. I think the mopar ones get the job done for sure, plus the grand cherokee styling is neat to match

The console tray mat was also added, just cleans up the look inside with everything rubber

Tails are gun smoke laminx. Want to get them redone soon and have the tail light trim wrapped black or replaced and leave my reverse lights untinted

Black honeycomb was also added this past week while the bumper was replaced. Anyone in the Atlanta metro area, classic collision does a great job. Little slow but well worth it

More to come soon, want to lift with RRO Leveling and TJ spacers in rear and then throw some spacers on soon

That thing looks great, that color looks perfect blacked out. I like the felted coin tray area. Mine is hard plastic, it shows scratches and can be noisy.

Love that black honeycomb grill. Where did you find the small console mat for the felt tray? I've looked all over for something like that.

The black honeycomb makes the front end look great. I had my old platinum one in closet and had part of the lower grill I kept from damage that is black honeycomb sitting next to it and it blew my mind why they didn't make them both black to begin with. I'll do some searching for the tray mat part number. I ordered mine from tascaparts.com I believe
