They only have 4 diodes in each but the lumen seems high. Must have something to do with them being the XB-D type I quess... Others I have looked at have 60 diodes. I'm a little confused on why the ones with 60 are not as bright as the one with only 4... Will 20w be enough?

Yup, those are the ones I just ordered. I'm pretty green when it comes to electrical so I can't speak to the diodes, but I know Jeep Addicted has a ton of experience with this so I'm going with his recommendation.

Wow that looks great. That's the look I want too. How are you able to see the DRLs when the car is not in Drive? Is there a switch to turn them on when in park?? Maybe I missed something.

Lol, Neutral/brick behind tire/parking brake combo.
I use the Taillight Solutions DRL mod so I like them not so bright, just on & noticeable.

The bulbs ship from California. They normally will ship either first class parcel or priority so they could be at your door in 2 to 3 days.

Lots of Chinese sellers now have items stocked in in warehouses in California and someone ships them for the seller.

Photos don't do these LEDs justice.

They can be seen very well in the day in bright sun light conditions. They can be seen from far away.

These are awesome in low light conditions.

You can see them reflecting off the back of any car that is in front of if you are close enough.

If you want your DRLs to show when you are not in the car for testing purposes.

Make sure the parking brakes is set and firmly hold the SUV in place before doing this.

1. Do not put your foot on the brake

2. Push the (start/stop) twice until you see RUN in the MFD.

3. Put your foot on the brake and shift the SUV into neutral

There you have the DRL on and the engine NOT running so you can have the DRL on to make sure the Polarity is correct.

Re: Day time driving lights

Thanks Jeep_addicted looking forward to getting them. I have the JW Speaker fogs and these DRL led's should be a good color match with them and the headlights. I should be good with completing my front lights? I have led backup and licence plate bulbs,I don't think led tail lights will make a huge difference. Do you?

Depending on what LED bulb you use in the taillights. I would say yes they do.

I upgraded my brake/taillight bulbs to LED and now they are more visible in the day and are Hella bright at night.

The bulb listed below match each other in brightness for taillight.

You will need load resistors for the turn signals only if you switch to these.

Re: Day time driving lights

So these 4 bulbs you listed is for my 2012 Overland and is all I need to use for taillights and brake lights and turn signal? What about this resistor,is it hard to install?

YES 2011-2013 WK2 use:

3157 or 3057 for the outer Brake/tail/turn position

921 for the liftgate taillight position.

If you want a plug and play resistor send me a PM.

Just doing a simple GOOGLE search can get you most of the info you are looking for. I googled "How to install a load resistor" and I got links to the youtube video, give search a shot every now and then.

Here is a document you should look at for guidance.

Page # 56 for liftgate panel removal.

Here it the Load resistor install. ( here are your choice of three )

Re: Day time driving lights

Bulbs arrived this week and installed them yesterday. Took all of about 10 minutes and they look great. Great $28 mod, as they look much cleaner with the white light- just like in the pictures posted in this thread. Thanks for the info guys.
BTW, I tried both methods mentioned in this thread to view my DRL's and they would not turn on. Only way I can view them is to have someone sit in the Jeep with the engine running, foot on the brake and car in Drive. Oh well, at least I know they work when the Jeep is in Drive- and they look sweet.
Peace.
