Daytime Running Lamps

I bought some LED's to match the color of my headlights and Speaker fogs. I bought them about 2 years ago. One has burn out. I would think these LEDs should last longer! I forgot where I got them. They are for a 2012 Overland. Can someone help me find the correct bulb. Thanks. I think they were these, but I can't find if he still sells them. It's been awhile... Recommendations please

Re: Daytime Running Lamps

The first time I bought LED replacements, I went lower priced from Amazon/EBay. (I don't recall the source) They didn't last. They were replaced with LED lamps from forum sponsor XenonDepot and I've had no issues since.

Re: Daytime Driving Lamps

I took Jim's advice at least a year ago and could not be happier. The DRL and fog color match great and running at night in the snow storm with just those on provides more vis than using the HID headlights.

Just got off the phone with a guy from XenonDepot and he talked me right out of using LED DRL's. Was very dissappointed in his responce...

Re: Daytime Driving Lamps

He said, don't use LED's for DRL's. I want a white light not yellow. Didn't think I needed to explain... I thought LED lasted longer and was the way to go... If this is not the case,I have all LED tail lights that are going to be needed to be change.

Re: Daytime Driving Lamps

What are you looking to replace? Is it your fog lamps that you are utilizing as your DRL?

If it recall correctly, the 2012 WK2 DRL is located in the highbeams. More specifically, the bulb itself has a low function for DRL and a brights function. Are you looking to replace that bulb altogether?

Re: Daytime Driving Lamps

2string1: Not sure who you spoke to but you can put LED's in there. You just want to use a good quality LED. I would recommend the Putco 3157 Plasma bulbs.
