I don't understand why people buy beautiful looking vehicles and black everything out! I like Chrome...

Agreed. I think the Summit was nicely done with a couple exceptions. The door lettering was too cheap and too much for me. The wheels are maybe a little too much blingy for me. But overall, I think they did a good job - especially on the darker granite color.

And yes, the lettering fonts are very similar and there are other dodge lettering out there that is almost dead-on.

Okay, thanks for telling me, guy.

The "R", "A" and the "N" are exactly the same.

2string says no, so they aren't at all alike. Even though you can see how much they are side-by-side.

It has nothing to do with where the emblem is located or the words in it...again, it's the "style" of the typeface. Really not hard to see and comprehend that the same companies make similar emblems and that we are realizing it.

Re: Debadged the SUMMIT

No letters are the same. All Grand Cherokee letters are raised, as they come to a point in the middle.

Also, the "R" and the "A" are definitely different...look closer.

I don't care who likes them or who doesn't, but I agree they are not identical by any means.

If we were looking at the emblems as if they were 2D printed logos, sans the three dimensional aspect (which I agree is obviously different), they are NEARLY the same. I can't find any versions of either that are flat vectors like that, but the letterforms are easily not far apart when laid on top of one another on a screen.

It's fine for those of you that can't see it, really. Not trying to upset anyone, it just stuck out to me and obviously has for others as well.

Wow this is funny because my original question was directed at the poster that stated and I quote "The lettering makes it look like a Grand Caravan" this statement right there is telling me the 2 vehicles look alike because of the lettering. Really?

You are trying to justify that is because The "R", "A" and the "N" are exactly the same (which they are not the same, the "A" and "N" i might give it to you, might, the "R" not even on different planets) and this makes 2 vehicles look alike. But is has nothing to do with where the letters are placed.

ROFLMAO is all i can say.

Yes you are correct the lettering on the Jeep Grand Cherokke makes it look like a Dodge Grand Caravan!

Enjoy the day and your Grand Cherokee Caravan.

My JGC looks like a Porsche:

"C"H"E" are the same

Holy...I'm embarrassed for you. This has blown way over your head.

I never said the similar emblems made the Jeep ITSELF look like a Grand Caravan. Maybe that's what that user meant, but I definitely clarified myself more than once.

Keep laughing though. Maybe it'll come to you.

My post literally said it looks like a grand caravan but I was hoping the hyperbole would not be lost. Of course they do not look a like. I think it is chinsey lettering and it reminded me of a grand caravan (or other older Chrysler products).

Weird...that would be the logical conclusion that most reasonable people would come to, but here we are.

And my contribution to peejym's image stream, as it would only make sense:

Re: Debadged the SUMMIT

This forum needs a sarcasm font. Sarcasm in posts is like color blindness, some people just can't see it no matter how obvious.
