Digital Guage Cluster Cleaning Question

Hi All,
On the plastic cover over the speedo on my 2014 WK2 Limited, I can see some minor scratches when the light hits it at a certain angle. Is there anything out there that I can clean/polish the surface with to reduce those scratches? It's not noticeable most of the time and I certainly don't want to make it worse. I have followed the owners manuals instructions to carefully use a damp Microfiber towel to clean it,but apparently it's a very easily scratched surface. I have read that some of those covers are coated with an anti glare substance that could be messed up with any kind of plastic polish. Does anyone know if that's the case with this cluster cover? Any information is appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Digital Guage Cluster Cleaning Question

Yeah something must have been used at some point that scratched the lens. The only thing I use on mine is when I wipe down the interior I use my damp shammy to clean that lens as well and it works perfectly. Still crystal clear with no fine scratches.

Re: Digital Guage Cluster Cleaning Question

I ended up using Mothers Plastic Polish and some super soft microfiber towels. Mcguires has a similar product, but more aggressive, better for headlights and such. The Mother's did a really great job, just a few minutes,no damage.

Meguiars has made a set of special plastic polishes/cleaners for years. I have used them on everything from convertible Windows to headlight covers (and gauge covers) and their products are great.

Re: Digital Guage Cluster Cleaning Question

Those are both great products, I'm sure. My scratches were few and light, so I went with what I could determine was the lightest duty cleaner/polish. Fortunately that was enough.
