after trial and error with 2 sets of different quick splices the driver side lights are in action! They are working with the interior lamps. They turn on when the car is unlocked and fade out nicely when i lock the vehicle. This was a lot of trial and error to get this far. Not difficult though and now that i have been through it the passenger will be a breeze tomorrow. Knock on wood (grain) Im going to post write up with lots of pictures very soon and also post pictures of the products which i have acquired over 2 trips to the local shop and have aided in the installation. Would you believe that after all of that the freakin 3M tape on the strip doesnt stick!!? I prepped with alcohol wipes, im guessing the shelf life on this stuff isnt very good. I have had this happen before. For now i have the strip ducked taped up under my rig on the way to the auto shop to grab some new MUCH stickier tape. wish me luck!

Great job! Thank you for this. I will be doing the exact same thing once you post your writeup. Very curious to see how you got the wire into the Jeep.
