Driver side mirror

Recently a bus damaged my driver side mirror. I will need to replace the entire casing and mirror. I went to an auto body shop and they listed the part as 1JR97WS2AJ. I have a Grand Cherokee Overland v8 2012, black in color, and wanted to know if this is the right part. I found this part online for about a little over $200+ but I'm not sure if it's the right part since I can find any information whether it's a chrome side mirror. If it is the right part, I would like to swap this part myself saving me so me cash. Is this swap easy or should I bring it in?

Re: Driver side mirror

Installing is pretty easy. The forums have some how to threads out there. Taking the inner door panel off is a must but is easy. Use your VIN to make sure you get the correct mirror and part number with all the functions you need. Good luck.

Re: Driver side mirror

Thanks, I checked mopars website and when I put in my VIN, it gives me a ton of exterior mirrors. It's not clear which ones I should purchase since there is no distinction of a chrome side mirror. Any luck decoding the codes for the right mirror I should purchase?

I have black stock overland GC 2012, v8.

Thank you.
