why dont you just add the HID globes to the fogs? far cheaper and easier the difference is night and day its a huge improvement. i also added a lightbar behind the grill

I too am looking at getting more forward lighting, I am used to my Cibie Oscar SC....

I came across these Hella Micro DE Xenon driving lights, they are definitely long range driving light not fogs with HID. As I don't use my fogs hence I am thinking about replacing them with a pair of the Micro DE Xenon. Not 100% if they will fit will do some investigation when I get a chance.

Do have a photo of the light bar behind the grill please? Also, was the HID swap in the fog lights a straight swap or did you have to install a ballast?

Theres a thread here somewhere with all the pics. Hid requires a ballast irs a straight swap very easy and a great result. A loom to power the ballasts is inc in the kit.
