Driving Lights in place of front tow hook blanks

Hi Guys- I'm looking to add additional driving/fog lights to my '15 GC Altitude. I don't have tow hooks so the blank panels seem like the perfect spot for the addition. Has anyone done this? Any thoughts or suggestions on brand or install would be greatly appreciated. Plus, if anyone has already done this- could you post pics? Thanks!

P.S. Upgrading to HID is cost prohibitive for me(for OEM), plus I've read to many posts on problems with aftermarket upgrades that it's not an option.

The location would be too low for driving lights. They would cast shadows and not provide any benefit for distance. You already have fog lights. They may also get drowned if you want to do any water crossings.

Just my thoughts.

Just my thoughts.
If they are the factory fog lights, they are decoration.
Mine provide zero additional light.

I don't know about the laws where you are but in Ontario we cannot legally have more than four forward lights on at one time. An extra pair of fogs would be cool in that area but it would be potentially illegal.
Greg.

Hello Guys you should check out Rigid Industries LED Lighting. I myself installed the Dually Spot Set where the tow hooks should be on my Black GC Altitude. They are very bright and I put the Amber color covers on them and they work very well for me.

I do have pics available but this site won't let me upload them plus I just added a 10 inch led light behind the front bumper cover.
