Dual Climate Heat in Limited Fussy

I've never had a car be quite this fussy or temperamental

If I put the Temp on 70 it's way too cool.
If I put the Temp on 72 it's way too hot.

This is with it being like 55 out.

71 might be too cool or too hot, depends on what mood it's in.

It just seems to be all on or all off and not mixing to get the right temp.

I even tried linking them thinking it was one side confusing the other. But it didn't help.

I'm constantly adjusting it between 70 and 72.

Re: Dual Climate Heat in Limited Fussy

Agreed. I have mine set at 68, as I have in 4 of my last 5 vehicles. My '07 Liberty had manual a/c.

Every once in awhile, most recently, when it's cool outside but warm in the car I need to make adjustments. The other day the car was "HOT" inside after sitting in a parking lot. I had to manually put it in max /c to cool it off.

From reading here, it seems that Jeep has some ridiculous idea that they should control the inside temp by measuring the outside temp. My last vehicle had enough sensors it could blow warm air on your feet and cool air from the dash. As I mentioned in another thread, this is one of the things you should be able to set and forget, but not in a Jeep.

It doesn't hurt the Jeeps reputation for being a great on/off road vehicle. It does keep them a step below in creature comforts.

Re: Dual Climate Heat in Limited Fussy

Hopefully it can be fixed in software.

There was some sort of Infrared sensor on the Dash on my 2002 Jeep GC. It just worked.

I hope when it gets real cold it works better and it's this marginal weather that it's not doing well in.

Re: Dual Climate Heat in Limited Fussy

During the hot summer days it worked great on Auto. We'll see what winter brings us.
