Hey all, newbie here and I've been lurking around for a few weeks now.

I just installed a set of these tail lights from ebay, and I'm pretty impressed. The only issues I had were the inner tails didn't fit 100%, more like 90%. They don't sit as flush and stick out a little bit. They're not too bad or noticeable to anyone else, only the owner.

Install was pretty straight forward. Came with a resister that I tucked behind the rear bumper. Inner tails were also tapped into the 3rd brake light so they function as brake lights as well. The install took about 30 min total, super easy to do.

All in all, not bad for the price. Bought them on ebay for $260 shipped.

As far as being hesitant of splicing/tapping into wires, I get it. No one likes cutting into the OEM wiring, but I have spliced into OEM wires on a lot of different vehicles from resistors, LOC for an amp, switches etc. and have not had any problems on any of them. Just my .02

Love the look of those taillights.
Does anyone know if they would work on an export 2014 model.

Only asking as the USA uses the outer top lights for turn signals and brake lights as in Australia we only use the outer and inner for brake lights and as a result you use the 2 bottom clear sections the inner and outer as the reverse lights.
We use the clear inner as the reverse light and the outer as the turn signal with an amber globe or led.

Would it be easy to change the wiring for the turn signals and add an amber led? As all the wiring is there from the OEM lights or have i over looked something?
And is the resistor there to stop the hyper flash or similar?
