Exhaust tip plasti-dip - keep or undo?

Plasti-dipped my exhaust tips today, should I keep them or strip back to the stock glossy black? Looking for some input here, your honest opinion won't hurt my feelings one way or the other.

Re: Exhaust tip plasti-dip - keep or undo?

Is the plastidip going to hold up to the heat from the exhaust? I've never worked with plastidip before...

Exhaust tip plasti-dip - keep or undo?

It was a cool idea and actually looks ok, but my vote is to keep them black.

looks cool! but unfortunately it wont last. I plastidipped the exhaust tips on my last car (G35) it only lasted about 3 months or so before it started fading away on the top from the heat. Once you can see the metal thru its obvious. I re dipped them a few times. but then it just got old and i took it off. didnt peel very well either. i think the heat caked it on there. so i had to scrub it off with goo-gone.

Um won't they turn black with exhaust soot?

I like them red but I am expecting soot to make them black again. Besides, I do not know how well plastidip will take the heat.

Re: Exhaust tip plasti-dip - keep or undo?

Thanks for the input guys, I peeled off the plasti-coat (came off as advertised) and restored to black chrome. Worth the $6 can of plasti-dip for the experiment.
