Thanks. The rocker trim on the sides and the front/rear are the black textured that came stock on the limited, haven't touched those. The sides were the paintable Overland flares. Local guy did it for cheap and did a great job (now I just need to clean the car). For now I am going to leave it as is - kind of like the look of the black and white trim combo. With that said, I have thought about down the road getting the parts all color matched.

I'm almost out of projects for this car, so it'll probably happen soon or later

Need to get 3 extra clips for the flares also, a few broke in the process. Overall very happy how it came out (note: my car is utterly filthy and the flares are pristine clean, so they look a shade off. In person they are an exact match). Eagle eye headlights installed there too!

Looks great, CrimsonKing! Makes me want to do this sooner rather than later.

Are the clips that you're referring to plastic rivets? Do you need a special tool to remove/install them?

Thanks.

Re: Fender flares

There are plastic rivers you need to remove/install. Once you remove them, they break. Need a rivet tool to pop them back in. The rivers themselves are insanely cheap, bought line on Amazon for probably 1/10 the price of the dealer.

The clips I need are more just plastic clips. Ordered some from justforjeeps. Not many options for purchase even on eBay. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1444586832.272759.jpg

Re: Fender flares

My GC is a '15 Limited, with the 3.6, which comes with a single exhaust outlet on the right side of the lower bumper cover. I'm trying to source a non-textured rear lower cover to have painted, but maybe they don't exist. As far as you know, do all of the 2014 and 2015 Overlands and Altitudes come with dual exhaust? It appears that all of the models that come with the body colored rear lower fascia have dual exhaust, therefore there's no non-textured rear lower fascias available.

Has anyone found a smooth lower rear fascia with single exhaust and no tow hitch cutout in the center? If so, what is the part number?

Thanks,

ddb1

Re: Fender flares

I also am debating getting the overland flares vs srt flares. I have a limited also , and really like the wider look with the wider flares painted instead of the textured black. If I get the srt flares then I would have to go all out with the entire srt body kit. Platinum Al please post pics up when you guys with the srt flares are able to install them. The only option for that look would be bushwhacker flares with the rivets. Not sure how that would look match painted vs the srt flares.

The bushwhacker flares look more rugged and off-road type. Personally not a fan of them. Esp of you are looking for that summit/HA/SRT look

Well

If you decide to go all out expect to pay about $5,000 to convert over to the ful Srt body trim

I have all the parts now and will easily be over $5000 invested by the time it's painted and installed

My plan is to put the SRT flares on my limited WITHOUT having to spend over 5,000. I am hoping it can be done by getting the extra flares I need and modifying them to help transition the front and rear bumper areas. Maybe I can save someone some serious cash. I should have a definite answer very soon as I will have the flares in my hands in a couple of weeks.

Single Exhaust... Am not sure why.. Is that something new to 2015 models..? I have a 2014 Limited with 3.6 and have duel Exhaust... I painted mine matching to the body color... It looks perfect...

Anything beyond limited is non-textured

I agree, meln13, your lower fascia looks terrific.

I don't know about the single exhaust, maybe it is something new on the '15 Limited with the 3.6.

After seeing CrimsonKing's pics above, maybe I will leave the front and rear fascias as they are. They do catch a lot of road debris. I will buy and have painted smooth fender flares as well as the rocker panels. If I change my mind I can always buy a smooth front lower fascia and have my textured, rear lower fascia sanded smooth.

You have the 3.6? If so, maybe your is different because you're in a different continent? Otherwise I don't know why I have single exhaust.
