Fender Liners

Does anyone know the part numbers of the left and right front fender liners? I've looked in the usual places and can't find it. I've shredded mine. I could get the numbers off the dealer I suppose but I'd rather get them independently then order them through one of the on-line parts suppliers.

Overly large tyres or a tyre blow-out. I shredded mine because I foolishly followed Jeep's advice and removed the air-dam going off road. This exposes the flimsy plastic front belly pan. I was driving in soft sand. The front of the belly pan tore off bending the belly-pan under the car. This then pushed the fender liners onto the wheels.

BTW, the part mumbers are, left #55079293AF and right #55079292AG.

Re: Fender Liners

I couldn't find anyone in the States willing to ship the liners to Australia because of their bulk so I bought the 2 front liners from a local stealer at an exorbitant price. The liners are made of a uniform sheet of a polymer felt like material moulded to shape. It is quite strong but readily melts with the heat generated by a rubbing tyre. Installation was a piece of cake. Nothing had to be removed other than the wheel and the old liner. All fasteners can be reused except two 6mm plastic rivets each side.

BIG TIP: Keep the old liner! It can be used to patch holes. Cut an oversized patch. It can be bent or moulded to shape with a bit of heat. Place it over the hole and glue the edges down with a hot glue gun. As good as new! Had I known this, I would have bought only one liner and used the old one to patch the other liner.

Had the same problem today. How much from the stealer i could imagine around 300? Do you happen to have any left from your other spares?

I pulled the lower air dam, (bottom flares only) off to run down the maundering power line track and just on the trip there is wore through from the wind.
Dissapointing really.

I paid $545 for both left and right at Suttons Parts Suttons Parts - Genuine Parts Excellence Homebush Bay - Sydney . The stealers' price is probably much the same although the very helpful guy at Suttons Parts that served me mentioned something about it being the trade price. I wasn't going to argue. No doubt it will be more in the west. Let me know how big a patch you need and I might send you a piece.

Yeah, I won't be pulling off the air dam in future. I'm beginning to think it is just a marketing ploy to be able to claim a better approach angle than the competition.

Took the front air dam off while designing the engine skid. I remembered to tie them back every day that it was off, except one. When driving highway speeds without the air dam on, it pushes the liners back into the wheels, thus shredding occurs.
