flickering problems HID kit

Has anyone installed an aftermarket 55w hid kit? I installed one on my truck and im getting this horrible flickering and the bulbs turn on and off when they want. I saw a anti-flicker kit online and it looks like that could solve it. Any ideas?

Re: flickering problems HID kit

I had the same issue when I put a HID kit in my GC. All my research seemed to indicate that it needed a capacitor so I tried both the DIY radioshack capacitor method and then ordered an anti-flicker harness. After all that I realized I had a bad ballast. Switched it out and its been working without issues.

Are your ballasts getting hot?

Yeah they got warm. I have a 35w kit on now and have no problems.

Did you install a 35w or 55w?
