Floor Liners - Opinions Please

Hi, So I've ordered the Overland, and now obsessing over the delivery. I am figuring it will arrive at the dealer late November or December. Just in time to get salt and snow and muck on my new carpet. I plan on showing up with my Canvasback cargo liner and some floorliners. The question is which floor liners? This is not my first JGC. I have had 3 before this one, and my current ride is an Outback, so I' have some experience with floor liners. I've had the Jeep OEM slush mats, and Weather tech Floor liners. The Weather tech have been my favorite, but they're not perfect. I do drain the mats but it's inevitable that a small pond forms and sloshes around until I stop to pour it out. I get some spill through the mat hook holes and on the rear nearest the door. The result is a salty carpet in the spring, nowhere near what would happen without them, but still a pain the detail. So what are your suggestions for your favorite floor mat/liner, especially for the front. Pictures links would also be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Re: Floor Liners - Opinions Please

This is how I prevent spillage onto the carpet. I keep part of an old towel around and mop up the mat before it creates overflow. BTW I have the MOPAR rubber Jeep mats and this will be my second winter.

WeatherTech Digital Fit Liners or Husky WeatherBeater Floor Liners

I have the WeatherTech's and they are great. No spillage whatsoever.

Re: Floor Liners - Opinions Please

I bought the Jeep slush mats for mine, front and rear. I have not had it a winter yet, however they are built well and have a raised area around the mat hook hole, to prevent leaks.

If you have tons of mud, slush, and wet snow, go with Weathertechs or Huskies as each have higher lips that are more like a mini bathtub.

We have the Mopars in deep snow in CO and they are plenty for us, plus they look sharp and the rubber stays pliable.

Re: Floor Liners - Opinions Please

Mopar slush mats are great in the front. The back however are lacking in size. They are way to small and do not even cover where the carpet mats do....plus they only come in black.

Regardless of the mats you get, do get the MOPAR Jeep cargo mat. It is wonderful.

Re: Floor Liners - Opinions Please

Thanks AAAA, I normally haul my GSD in the cargo area and my tool of choice is a Canvasback liner, we have used them in every vehicle in the family. They're waterproof, super easy to clean and look good.

Re: Floor Liners - Opinions Please

I see what you mean and it also covers the rear seats when lowered. Nice. The Jeep rubber mat though is very slip resistent and will pool water in recesses. I seem to haul a lot of bags of soil and mulch so it works for me. Occassional snow blower hauling too!

The Canvasback's opening for the spare tire/oddments cavity cover handle is mighty handy. And Jeep has outfitted that cavity cover with a neat little feature underneath: a strap with a hook to hold the cover up so you can rummage inside the cavity with both hands free.
