I have Weather Tech in the '14 and now need to put some mats in the '13.

Should I stick with the Weather Tech or is there something out there better?

I have Quadratecs in my 2013 JGC and I love them.

Those of you that like Husky mats - did you go for the Weatherbeaters or the X-act? I am leaning toward the X-act due to the fact that according to several online reviews they seem to be more of a rubber texture with more grip on top (where your foot is placed) than the Weatherbeaters.

By the way, here is a video I found that compare the two kind of Husky mats to the Mopar mats.

I went with the WB because I had a set that lasted for 12 years in my 02 GC and held up very well to our WI winter. They went with that GC when I traded for my 14. I also went with the WB over the XC simply because I think they fit better, as you can see in your video.

I can't speak for the material difference or feel between the WB and XC as I've never had the XC. The WB is soft enough to be flexible without losing its shape or cracking, the fit is great and it has kind of a rubbery feel when you run your fingers across it. I found that foot slippage on a wet mat is very minimal and that has more to do with whatever snow/slush you're dragging in on the bottom of your shoes. In all fairness, under those circumstances any mat will be slippery.

Do you find the X-act mats have grip/rubbery traction to prevent your feet from slipping when the top of the mat is wet?

Thanks for all the suggestions and opinions. We went with the Huskey
X-act mainly for the coverage it provided. They arrived last night will hopefully pick up the Jeep next week - so I will let you know how the fit is. Upon opening the package, I have to say that they are much more flexible than I was expecting with more of a rubbery feel with good traction.

So traction and coverage should be good - will report back on the fit when the Jeep comes in next week.

good deal, husky makes nice mats for sure.

i posted this in another thread - if you are considering the husky wb's, get the 2015 version because it doesnt have clips. its just a molded cup that goes over the floor clip so its 100% water proof. the clips also break after about the 2nd time you remove the mat, they are total garbage. no idea why husky did that on the 2016 versions, maybe someone sued them claiming the mat got under the brake. I can attest that the 2015 wb's WILL NOT move at all. they are also going to save you $30.

the xact's look nice too, but reason i didnt like them was because it partially overlays the door sill. 1 - this doesnt look very precise as its somewhat sloppy to cover half the bitchin aluminum door sill (hey, its a beautiful interior!), and 2 - this seems like it could act as a trip point if you kick it getting in. I do see that it would catch more dirt from going under the mat though. Still, with the Wb's, the carpet under the mat stays clean and dry. only complaint is they are very hard rubber, so they can make your heels get sore on long trips. i bet the xact would provide more cushioning.

ok carry on !

The WBs in my '17 Summit overlay 1/2 the sill. Since I will only use them for the few months we have a chance of snow I figured the extra protection is worth it. I do wish they went higher on the dead pedal, but thankfully Jeep put black (or very, very dark blue) carpets with the Ivy Grey interior.

I wanted my X-acts to overlay the door sill more lol. Mine sit flush next to the aluminum and I was hoping for more coverage but as I mentioned it's a small detail that varies between people. The X-acts sit very low and I couldn't see how someone could trip over them in the front or the rear. They're almost flat.

I may have to take a pic to show you guys tomorrow.

Wanted to follow up on this thread with pictures of the Huskey Xacts in our Jeep.

FYI - primary reason for choosing these is to get a little more coverage over the "dead pedal" area where the driver's left foot rests, as you can see we have the light frost interior and I wanted as much coverage as possible. I was also concerned with the traction provided as the liners looked to be hard and I was concerned that they would be so smooth that when wet your foot would like around. That is not the case.

As you can see, we purchased the Jeep OEM for the cargo area - I just liked the "Jeep" in the middle - really, that's what made the decision for me! :)
