Re: Floor mats ??

I find that the problem is with the black weather tech mats. I had tan colored ones in a 07 Explorer for close to 4 years and they never lost their shape nor did the logos come off. I'm on my second set in my Navigator (black) and now black ones in my Jeep and they lose their shape... There is something wrong with the black mats...

Mine are genuine direct from weather tech. I'm in Texas where heat is a factor, do you live up north where it's cooler?

How is the cargo mat? I've heard the Mopar one has a lot of grip, which I'm debating.

The cargo Mat is nice and thick and nothing slides in the back. I have the older style husky mats front rear and back in my WK and these are much better. Purchased from summit racing

Re: Floor mats ??

I had the weather techs in two previous jeep jk's and a Chevy Silverado. The fit was good, but it really bugged me how fast the color seems to wear from them. The only way I got them to look nice again was if I Armor All'd them, but then they were too slippery. I wish they used a higher grade of material.

Re: Floor mats ??

IMO the best combo is Husky up front and in back seat area and Mopar mat in cargo area. Husky's look good ,cover well, clean up well etc etc....
The Jeep cargo mat is good rubber and helps to keep stuff sliding around like cases of water (Beer?)... I can't stand going around corners and having all the rear contents slide from one side to the other. Jeep mat does not allow this to happen and it is the best choice for me.....

Re: Floor mats ??

I have the Jeep cargo and it is great even though it has no side lips. Fits like a glove for $80. Bought a set of Goodyear rubber mats for my 2011 Ram for $20 at Autozone(all 4). 3 vehicles and years later, they still look like new. Don't fit like a glove but for $20 who cares.

I have the same set in grey to match my GC.
However, that smooth section on the dead pedal (under the e-brake pedal) drove me freakin' nuts.

Every time I would push down on it to adjust my sitting position if my shoes were wet my foot would slip off.
I ended up using a piece of a different mat with ridges and sticking it on with the 3M Exterior auto tape. No more foot slippage and it hasn't moved in over a year (cheap double stick tape will not hold in high temps of summer).

Don't both with them, really. Mine are on the floor in my garage. My hitch rack stands against the wall on them.

im in the northeast and only have had them for 2 months now and also bought them direct from weathertech. i think they have a 3 year warranty i would call and get them replaced. they shouldnt be falling apart like that for what they cost.

Floor mats ??

If you deal with snow and salt don't bother with weathertech for the jeep wk2 - they suck and leave too much floor carpet exposed for winter weather.

My logos also fell off, but for summer matts they're good enough.

That's what I'm running as well. Husky's up front (similar to the ones Kman posted) and Mopar in the cargo area.

They've worked well so far but we'll see in a couple months when I really need them.
