Re: fog led

Rageoffury - You would just have to ensure you trim the right amount and there should be no fitment issues.

ColdCase - Keep in mind halogen bulbs and LED bulbs have different technologies. So there would be a difference in the way the lens is designed, so it can optimize the performance for each light.

DirtyDuc83 - Sorry about the delays, these bulbs have been very popular since we launched them but are expecting to have more in stock any day now. Your order will ship out as soon as we have them.

Quite true! I posted on this some time ago. My LED fogs looked brighter from the outside but gave very little light on the road. The reason is that the EOM bulbs work with the fog reflector to give a low flat beam. The LEDs have a number of light point sources over about an inch, so when hitting the reflector, the light is dispersed everywhere and therefore dimmer. I went back to the OEM bulbs the next day. I'll wait till they come out with single source LED that has it located exactly where the OEM bulb filament is.

Do they produce any glare towards oncoming drivers?

I didn't test that but I wouldn't think so considering the low wattage.

Re: fog led

Anyone receive theirs yet? I ordered last Monday when the availability showed it would ship in 24 - 48 hrs...Well, it's been a week and when I go look at my order details it says backordered. Yet the website still shows the product page still shows 24 - 48 hrs ship time.

Funny... I was thinking the same thing last night (I ordered 3/4) and my order still says "Processing." I tried e-mailing them back on 3/5 to ask if I could change my order to the 5000k instead (assuming they hadn't shipped), and have yet to hear back.

Re: fog led

They told me they received another shipment late Friday, after UPS had finished shipping out, and that they would be out to UPS Monday (TODAY).

The OEMs are standard filament incandescent bulbs right? The subject of this thread are LEDs right?

I was asking if these newer LEDs work any better lighting the road than the older cosmetic LED bulbs, and if they even work as well lighting the road as the OEMs.

I'm guess not. I see a few low watt LEDs on ebay that appear to have a lens.

Yah...my first order with Xenon Depot and i'm not particularly impressed. They have my money and I have no bulbs. Well, hopefully the bulbs prove to be worth the time and cost.

Re: fog led

Guys,

All LED bulbs are shipping out today. They are already packaged and awaiting UPS pick up. We got them in stock late Friday afternoon past UPS cutoff so unfortunately they are shipping out today.

Thank you for your patience.
