Re: Fog replacement in Canada

Did anyone finally ordered from KB Carstuff here in Canada? Ordered my LED fogs, on the 9th of Feb, still waiting...it seems that Canada Post lost the goods, so I am caught waiting their '' we are searching '' period! KB are just waiting it out as well...with my funds, of course....

That sucks, eh? Yes, I've ordered lights from them before, and they were pretty quick to deliver! Hopefully, they find yours or should just send you some replacement ones!

Re: Fog replacement in Canada

They were very fast on expedition, ordered the 7th, ( On weekend ) and the 9th Feb they were shipped out. On the postal service website, it was supposed to be delivered on the 13th, which went by and no product in my mail box....I called their customer service dept which requested that I wait somewhat more...which I did...15 days total...now finally, decided to take it up with the postal services and start a trace, which basically means, they will look for it, but don't get your hopes up...which is ok I guess...but, as a customer, I am still out of the goods and the funds for a long period of time, at this rate, would of ordered them from China and paid less…Don't get me wrong, KB has answered all my emails and shipped out fast. I understand that this is out of their control, but I still am their customer without what I paid for....

An option to have in such situations, would of been,...''...Mr customer, we will send you a replacement kit, since you have been waiting so long and all indicates that the postal services may have lost the goods. Although, if you receive the original kit / package, you will have 15days to return or we will invoice / charge you for it...

Again, what do I know in customer service.... rant off.

Re: Fog replacement in Canada

[QUOTE For install, I found it was easiest to just crank the wheel over, remove the fasteners holding the fuzzy wheel well liner & gently pull the liner away so you can see the bulb & retainer. Took about an hour to do both! Enjoy![/QUOTE]

Did you just drill out the core of the rivets Hemi? I see 2 and a small plastic fastener at the bottom.

I can get my arm in the opening at the bottom and can reach the fog light but not sure how it releases. Guessing it's just a quarter turn to the left?

Or is it just easier to remove the rivets?

Thanks

Re: Fog replacement in Canada

You are at the install point! RANT ON AGAIN : I'm still waiting to receive them, spoke AGAIN to KB, now telling me that they need to wait for Canada Post to finalise their investigation on where the package is...they want me to wait until the 19th of March before they will take a decision! I mean crap, they shipped on the 9th of FEB!!! I'm just going to lose it...I asked them to ship me a second kit and I would return the original IF ever I get it....they could even charge my CCard for it, something so I can get my LED's... no response...except very sorry, we have to wait....nothing we can do...customer service 0.

Gravity, I just pulled hard on the rivet ones 'till they broke! They are a two piece rivet. I found it a lot easier to remove the rivets, pull back the liner, and have full access to the fog lights. Otherwise, it is a real bitch to fumble blindly with the removal/install of the foglights!

I think it's not necessary, it's easier to remove the air dam (remove 7 quarter turn plastic fasteners then pull out) and lift the Jeep to off-road 2 if available then you'll have enough space to do it while sitting on the ground.. You guessed it right, it's just a quarter turn and pull out to change the bulb..

Thanks Hemi. Your way sounds easier.

But thanks for your input Sherif. It's almost a 6 one way half a dozen of the other.

Power washed everything today but ran out of time to to do the fogs.

Still ticked about the mud flap thing.
