I'm curious too. Let see some evidence.

Re: Foot Rest - Dead Pedal for driver side

Here are a few pics of my home-made footrest and extender. I like to put my seat pretty far back and I needed something to extend the left footrest. I could not find anything on-line so I just invented one. Cost me less than $10. It's not pretty but it's comfortable, removable, and protects the rug!

Re: Foot Rest - Dead Pedal for driver side

Can anyone tell me why Jeep would not put, at the least, a piece of plastic right there to rest your foot...my carpet is already wearing down and I have only had my jeep since july 4....is there anything you can put there to keep carpet from wearing any more and yet look professional?

It has been said and I can concur in saying that getting the huskyliner weather beaters fully covers that area and becomes a foot rest.

Re: Foot Rest - Dead Pedal for driver side

The factory rubber slush mats also cover that foot rest area as well.

Re: Foot Rest - Dead Pedal for driver side

As far as I know, a footrest is the same as a dead pedal. My HuskyLiners cover the footrest fully and I see no difference to what some of you are referring to. So yes, I still say my Jeep has a footrest/dead pedal.
