I bought the Husky floor liners because they covered most of the dead pedal area (unlike the Weather Tech mats).

But then my foot kept slipping off when it was wet. So I cut a piece off an old flat floor mat I had laying around and used some 3M body molding double sided tape to fasten it to the dead pedal area on the Husky mat.

Works great! The Husky mat protects the mat and the secondary mat has ribs on it to prevent my foot from slipping when wet.

+1 for the Husky's. I got the WeatherBeaters. Also agree slippery when wet. I keep a towel handy now to mop up the melted snow/rain. It was easy the other morning just to pull up a chunk of ice before I got in.

Stock jeep slush mats cover the dead pedal nicely. Just put mine in.
