For anyone thinking about opticoat

Two pics of my black Jeep after driving around on salt covered roads in a snow storm. Not clean but looks way better than it would have without the coating.

It's extremely expensive, too.

Isn't the Opti-Coat supposed to last a lifetime?

Small price to pay when they use salt on the roads.

There are 2 versions of it now. I don't think the 2.0 last forever. The original version was only available to pros but now you can buy 2.0 on various online retailers. If I'm not mistaken.

I took a look on their website.

"Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 is a permanent coating that protects automotive paint over its lifetime......."

Re: For anyone thinking about opticoat

I had opti-coat pro done a few days after picking up my new SRT. LOVE IT!! Nothing sticks to it, washing takes a few mins, no scrubbing to get bugs/road grime off.
I highly recommend it.

Re: For anyone thinking about opticoat

If I remember, it's about $70 or so, and I would recommend watching several youtube videos on the application. It's not rocket science, but you don't want to leave "high" spots on the paint.
