Front bumper rivets

Does anyone know what size rivets are needed when I put the front bumper back on?

Thanks,
Tony

Re: Front bumper rivets

I'm not sure of the exact size, but I used this kit when I installed my HIDs and it comes with enough of the correct size to remove and install the front bumper cover at least three times: Hand Riveter with 40 Industrial Strength Poly Rivets

Re: Front bumper rivets

Northland, do you have a link on how to take off the front bumper? I'm going to be doing a lift, HID kit (with fogs), and tow hooks all at once, so I figured it would be easier just to take off the whole bumper.

Do you have to drill out the stock rivets or what?

Re: Front bumper rivets

Thanks!!! Maybe that video is not 100%, but why do you need to replace the rivets (2014)?

there are couple or rivets which are one time use only , you basically cut them off, and need new once when you put bumper back on.

here is pdf :

Re: Front bumper rivets

That's a good video. After you remove it the first time, you'll wonder why you waited so long! I've removed/replaced mine many times now (to install air horn; HIDs; etc.); thinking of starting my own business to remove/reinstall '14 GC front bumper covers.

Sounds like my weekend. I want to put on the RRO leveling kit, tow hooks, and grille insert. Did the HID kit w/o taking the bumper off. Might clean up the wiring while I have the bumper off too. Definitely heading down to local Harbor Freight to pick up that rivet tool.

Re: Front bumper rivets

If anyone can figure out what size we specifically use, please share.
