Front Drivers Side Fender Flare?

Hi Guys,
I did some searching and I didn't come up with any answers that I could really go off of.

I have a 2014 Black Overland - I feel pretty dumb for this but I took the front bumper off and those dumb plastic rivets never wanted to go back in. Long story short, my drivers side front fender flare came off on me on the freeway.

I'm trying to come up with the best way to replace it. I know it's going to have to be painted to match the rest of the body, but the dealer wants over $100 to paint it, on top of the $75 for the part itself.

I've seen the part numerous places online with the part being cheaper than the dealers price, but its a textured black ABS plastic.

Does anyone have ideas on the best way to replace the part and have it match? I am willing to put in the work to paint it, but whats the best way to do it? I know I can pull the color code, but can I order the matching paint online? Does it generally come in aerosol cans or am I going to need a gun to do it? Any tips? My Jeep looks pretty dumb missing that piece, and I'm just trying to get the part replaced for the least amount of money possible - willing to put some work in on my end to keep the price down. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Junk yard may have one in color if the car was hit on the opposite side. You can check the net, or a local yard might locate it for you.

Re: Front Drivers Side Fender Flare?

I had to paint one of the wheel flares on my Overland. My brother scratched it while parking my Jeep in the garage. Luckily that was all that got scratched. What I did is remove the flare, ordered a 12oz aerosol can of paint from automotivetouchup.com along with a can of clear coat and did it myself. All I had to do at the end after installing it is use some rubbing compound and polish it. Looks as good as it was before.

Another option would be to get the part and find a body shop to paint it for you. I would not do the blending of color into the body panel. I don't think for the flare of the Overland it's necessary, but that's just my opinion.

The paint cost is in the ballpark of what any shop might want to paint it. The part you might find $10 or so cheaper, but you'll probably have shipping. Check any of the online Mopar sites

The Overlands have the same flares as the Limited/Laredo except non-textured and painted, right?

Since it's black, I'd do what darknit3 suggests. Heck, even the Duplicolor black would probably work.

The plastic rivets on the fender flares are one-time use, unless you have the push rivets. So, you'd need a rivet gun and the right replacement rivets. There's a kit on ebay for about $25.

Re: Front Drivers Side Fender Flare?

Thanks for the replies guys. Sounds like my best option is going to be to order the part and just paint it myself. Do you think 1 can of the touch up paint that was mentioned will be enough to do the entire fender flare, or do you think I'll need more since I have to do the whole thing?
