Re: Frustrated with Summit color options

I agree with the original post. WHAT was Jeep thinking??? I have a 2012 Summit with Saddle interior and it's BEAUTIFUL! I saw the new Summit and thought it looked horrible inside. It seems Chrysler skimped a little on quality. They reduced the amount of wood on the steering wheel too. They needed to add more wood OR cut it out altogether. They should have taken a note from Volvo and offered a complete wooden steering wheel option. It seems Jeep has learned nothing from its partnership with Mercedes--They needed to create a sophisticated LOOK and STAY with it. They keep changing grills and headlights every five minutes. It cheapens the brand.

Oh, and another thing...what's with the move toward a "smilie face" front facia???!!! It's bad enough that Mazda is doing it...Go bad to the 2011-2013 design and just REFINE dammit! The new Jeep Cherokee (not Jeep Grand Cherokee) is ugly as sin! It looks like a joke.

Re: Frustrated with Summit color options

I agree I loved my 2011 Summit with the Saddle Brown interior.
I just picked up the 2014 Summit and love all the new features but feel the interior lacks what the previous model had... a more unique two tone color interior. The 2014 overland has the different color piping and two tone seating. They could have at least matched the copper stitching with copper piping on the 2014 Summit. Look at all the additional high end stitching on the Dodge Ram Larmie. I love the 2014 but everyone that sees it says how awesome my 2011 interior was.
