Re: Full de-chrome

Thanks, No, I wish I was able to do it myself. Brought it to a body shop by me.

Re: Full de-chrome

I know its a pain, my shop destroyed them when taking them off. They had to order new parts from jeep. And now they are about to destroy another set because im crazy.. the black gloss didnt look right, it didnt have anything to match up to. Bringing in back next week to have it painted max steel. Ill post pics when I get it back.

I'm curious about how the rear quarter trim is attached. I thought it would be stuck on with 3m tape or something. Can you ask your shop what was involved in the takeoff for all the trim pieces? I really want to do this mod.

That sucks, for them. And you are crazy. I thought the black went well as it matched the tinted windows and the black pillars between the front and rear windows. But, you have to look at it everyday.

I thought about body color, but I think I want to go with a matte black to match the lower body trim. All my cars have always had black window trim and I don't want to highlight it. At least with a dark color such as yours, it won't stand out as much. Much better than chrome either way.

Good luck.
