Gave it back

Gave the GC back to the dealer yesterday, With less than 1000 miles we just found to many defects to handle, Bad Paint, Rust and rattles, we also had Rust on the Electrical Motors for the seats and on the springs under the seats, Wires hanging down behind the brake pedal. The Paint started this, It was so lumpy and uneven, Four shops said it needed an overall paint job.

I would of done the same, are you getting new one? or just dropping the idea of a Jeep?

If I didn't know any better I'd say it had flood damage?

It was involved in some kind of disaster that's for sure.

I will probably get another Jeep GC, I like the brand, Wish I still had the Liberty.
Anyhoo I understand they had issues with the lift gate seal and just after this one was built the Paint Booth was upgraded and the line was shut down for three weeks, So if you have a 2015 Built around September of 2014 check under the seats for rust.

Wow. Sounds like some form of disaster at the plant which affected many of the builds. If it was something happening during shipment or sitting on the lot, then it would an engineering problem.

Wow! Sorry about that. Did the dealer take back the vehicle without any issues? Did you get your money back? I am guessing you lost some. Sucks that these issues were not caught during quality control. I always that each and every vehicle goes through a QC check.... but I guess, they only do this randomly.

Sorry to hear about your issues. Thanks for the heads-up about Assy changes. Definitely sounds like water damage to the cab interior. Would love know what dealer said to you and how much flack he gave you about returning it. Keep looking though, lots of great jeeps out there. Best of luck on your search. Keep jeeping!!!!
