Glass breakage alarm

Some POS attempted to break into my 2011 grand cherokee overland lastnight. They broke the first pane out of the tempered glass. But that's it. Something must have scared them off. Anyone know if the overland comes standard with alarm? If so what triggers are active.

Re: Glass breakage alarm

I don't think the WK2 has a glass breakage sensor for the alarm system. A door would have to be opened before the alarm would activate. Most vehicles with factory alarms that are made today don't have glass breakage sensors.

No glass shatter alarm. My 2011 has been broken into twice.

I should mention that both times they climbed in through the window and did not open the door. Back windows seem to break easier too.

Smart thieves most likely break a window that isn't laminated like the front doors and windshield.....whereas the op had some newbie thieves and in the process of peeling that front window they gave up lol

Re: Glass breakage alarm

Yeah thats what I figured. I guess its the after market alarms that go off with vibrations and glass breakage. Kinda sucks.
