Everything but that little wind deflector at the front of the panoramic roof, which seems to catch them even better than a bumper. I let em dry a bit and use an old toothbrush.

Truly the easiest solution. I use USED dryer sheets (don't have any idea what the active ingredients in those boogers are and don't want whatever it is on my vehicle) dipped in Optimum No Rinse solution and all that dried stuff comes right off. Got the tip from the detailing section on this website. I think it came from BuckeyeSRT. Lotsa good detailing tips there.

This makes me want to cry...I can only imagine all of the horrible clearcoat scratching items in the brush Most people clean wheels, etc with those. I won't even use the same microfiber mitt on my vehicle as the wife's because she could care less and manages to hit every puddle of whoknowswhat.

This is MY foaming brush on a power washer, not a coin op.

After every use, it gets rinsed and then cleaned with the power washer high pressure mode...

Re: Good way to get bugs off bumper?

get 'em wet, and keep 'em wet for half an hour or so.. then use a wash sponge with a nylon mesh back to knock 'em off.. with lots of soapy water..

I used this technique for the first time when I had to de-bug my shiny new GC for Carlisle this year.. after driving 370 miles.. I was surprised how well the "get 'em wet and keep 'em wet" idea works..

Re: Good way to get bugs off bumper?

Costco microfiber towels soaked in warm water works great for me.

Re: Good way to get bugs off bumper?

Easiest solution. Keep baby wipes in your car, or you can get similar wipes at the auto store in little plastic packs that if in the glovebox After any high speed run day, just grab a wipe and give the front a once over. While fresh, bugs are gone in 20seconds - 2 weeks later, well look up all the other techniques.

Also great when a bird dumps on the car - get it done while its warm!

The best way to take them off is to not let them get on in the first place

Still got my new Jeep Bra available for sale
