Grill Swap Questions

So, I've got the front fascia off my Summit and thought removing the grill and rings would be, well....a snap (literally).

However, it seems they ARE clipped in, but the clips are also melted over.

I really want to swap my chrome grill out for a black one. I also want paint the rings to match the rest of the Jeep.

It looks like the only option I have is to break the melted plastic off.

Am I wrong or is there another way?

Re: Grill Swap Questions

Well, with a little bit of persuasion, I managed to get them removed.

Re: Grill Swap Questions

I used a flat head screwdriver to pry them apart.
