Had my roof wrapped today.

Did the roof in matte black to offer a little protection to the paint when I'm loading and unloading surfboards, kayaks, and bikes. I didn't buy enough material to do the spoiler, so I'll have to pick up another couple of feet and take care of that soon. Overall, I'm happy with the look and the matte black works very well with the black trim on the Limited as well.

Did you knock it out yourself?

I don't fault you for trying!

Looks good, and is functional for your use. I wouldn't attempt that job either. I'm all for DIY, but some jobs are best left to the pros. This, and window tinting for example. I tried DIY tint once. I just don't have the patience for that job. It was in the garbage after 5 minutes. My wife still gives me a hard time about the $27 wasted (pre-cut ebay), and that was 9 years ago.

Home tint jobs are 100% embarrassing, I shake my head every time I see one.
As I try to look at the driver through their bubble covered windows.

$80 for the vinyl on Amazon, $50 for the install at a local shop.

I went and dropped the bumper and plastidipped my chrome grille inserts since it didn't really work with all of the black on the truck now. Racks are up and I'm ready for a kayak run!

How much of a PITA is it to drop the grill? I have a chrome grill on my Summit that I want to black out - looks like has braces or something. (pardon the partial hijack)

What do you think of painting the roof? I have an insurance roof paint job coming from paint cracking due to hail, so a full re-spray. Insted of trying to match the bright white I thought of going a complementary color like charcoal to match the limited wheels. I don't know about black.
