Looks fantastic!
How easy was it to peel off the surplus plastidip after applying the gloss?

Re: Hatch chrome Jeep decal Plasti-Dip

It was super easy I put on the 4 coats of black and the before the last coat was dried I put on my first coat of gloss. After applying the second coat of gloss I took off the tape and then once it all dried it peeled off with ease. To get the dip off that was between the letters I used a toothpick . It all took less than an hour but I was also doing it in 100 plus degree weather so the coats dried in around 5-6 mins.

Re: Hatch chrome Jeep decal Plasti-Dip

Just an FYI for removing the dip with a toothpick, which I also did...It will scratch your clear coat if you go at it too much or even just a little bit. If you're careful enough to never touch it to the paint and are able to push around the stray bits, then you may be safe.

After I removed all my emblems, post dipping, there were some pretty definite marks around all the letters of each emblem still showing from using a toothpick to remove excess dip, that I later had to remove with some polish and elbow grease.

So be warned. Your clear coat is pretty sensitive.

Thanks pintar I was super careful to not touch the dip on the actual letters but thanks for the advice what type of Polish do you use on your dipped parts?

Well, I meant touching your paint with the toothpick, not the dip on the letters...

And I don't polish the dipped parts. I said that I used paint polish to clean up the scratches left from using the toothpick.

No worries. And you probably won't ever notice any unless you ever remove them. That's when I did. So just something to consider beforehand.
