Headlights or glass assembly replacement 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hi, Im new to this forum. I live in south america. Ive recently bought a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Im very happy with it but since I got I promised to myself I was going to find some replacement headlights because the ones I have right now look old, dirty and foggy.

I changed the headlights in my previous car (Mercedes Benz c230) for new ones and it made it look new for many more years until I sold it..

Getting these replacement headlights for this Jeep has been a problem. I bought these recently: FRONT HEADLIGHT 2011-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee 11-13 HL PAIR at HeadlightsDepot.com | Top Quality Headlights at Affordable Prices

I traveled to the states and brought them with me to have them installed here with the Jeep dealer. They tried and said this item does not work for my Jeep. That my grand cherokee has HID Xenon lights and the ones I bought are hallogen and are not compatible.

So anyway I will try to take them back to the US and get the money back but the problem Im having now is trying to get the replacement headlights for my jeep. Im looking deeply online and found these: 2011-2013 Jeep WK2 Grand Cherokee Bi-Xenon HID Headlights - Mopar # 55079380AI, # 55079381AI #55079380AI_55079381AI

It looks like thats the item I need, however paying 1500 USD for both headlights is out of my budget.

What can I do to have new headlights or at least get new exterior glass for my headlights so my Jeep has that new look again? Some websites online offer HID kits but not the housing or assembly only bulbs.

Anyway guys please help me out with this I really look forward to your comments.

Thanks!

Mine came with HID(previous owner) as far as I can tell, I have the stock headlight assembly.

If the headlight is in good shape and not fogging up on the inside you should be able to polish the front lens back to a crystal clear. I am guessing the plastic lens is oxidized from being outside in the elements and sun, changing into a yellowish looking color?

You can pick up a headlight polishing kit at most automotive parts stores that will do the trick.

3M makes a kit that's really good. It has several steps sanding the headlights until they are like new again (using a drill). It costs about $30USD. After you are done you can spray a clear coat on them to protect them, or put a film on it.
