Two thumbs up for the mirror heaters thumbsup::thumbsup. I was getting so much salt on me jumping in and out of the car this week that I took a chance and went to the no touch car wash early this morning when it was 0 degrees F. It went fine: no frozen doors or locks. However the mirrors were blocks of ice. The glass was covered solid with 1/8 inch or more of ice. Two cycles of heat to the mirrors cleared them off at 1F. Nice long icicles hanging off both mirrors! Good job Chrysler.
I noticed something weird with my heated mirror on our last trip up northern AZ. I noticed the the side mirrors fog up for about 10-20 seconds then it cleared up again. It did it a couple more times. I was not sure if I was having an electrical problem or that stretch of highway we went through had some kind of weird stuff in the air.
I would think that they would fog if they are cold and the surrounding air is humid. However the heated mirrors would eliminate the fog quickly. You did turn them on when they fogged didn't you? You also know that they are on an automatic timer.
