Re: Help me...looking to do this

If you have the power outlet in the back of the vehicle, do like I did...put a quality USB adapter in that port and run a USB cable to the back seat for charging the "devices". You can even use a longer cable and route to the back of the center console if you need to. My MY12 Summit only has a 120v inverter plug in the back of the console...no USB back there. So there are now two USB sources in the middle of the back seat for my daughters to use when we travel.

Yeah, I use the accessory outlet under the front console to provide the high current USB. I have an long USB cable that can reach into the back seat if necessary (20AWG power conductors to reduce I^2R losses).

However, most of the time I just need the high USB current in the front. Because the front stock USB ports have the same problem as the back: they only offer 20% of the current they should these days. I can always stick a wall charger in the back, as I have in the past, but wall warts can shake loose from that inverter plug and stop providing power... in my experience kids don't notice that until it's too late.

If you need a couple of USB charge points in the rear of the front seat armrest, why not install a cigarette lighter outlet with a dual USB adaptor (as previously mentioned).
This could easily be wired off the vehicles battery located right there, under the front seat

I know that sounds ghetto lol.
Typically the cigar lighter can handle more power than that inverter plug in.
[Disclaimer, although I use an external DC-AC, have no clue how close I am to popping the breaker on the cigar lighter socket].

DC to AC inverters from pretty much any of the popular power regulator companies are more flexible, and most have built in breakers to keep you from melting your Jeep.

It bears mentioning that the accessory outlet under the armrest is always on whereas the one in the front by the media ports power cycles with the vehicle.
